- Legal practitioners who have been trained overseas and are seeking to practise law in an Australian state or territory must apply to the relevant legal admission board.

- Applicants may be required to meet minimum English language proficiency requirements as part of the admission process.
- Lawyers will also be required to meet all immigration requirements and have the necessary visa to work in Australia.
