Lawyers and firms engaging with LegalEagle™ are generally not paid by LegalEagle™. LegalEagle™ does not warrant the accuracy of their qualifications, experience, abilities or any other information provided through our site or otherwise as a result of you using any of our products or services.
None of the information or documents provided through this site or your contact with lawyers through this site creates a lawyer-client relationship. This includes but is not limited to your contact with lawyers directly or indirectly through our Find a Lawyer, Ask a Lawyer, Phone a Lawyer and Fixed Fee Quote services or any opinions and interpretations they have expressed in our Legal Information Centre.
The lawyers and firms who provide information including commentary, articles, guides, FAQ, answers to questions, preliminary advice and fixed fee quotes have not accepted instructions to act for you by your communicating with them through the site or your use of the services available on the site, including purchase of any of the products or services offered. Nor are the lawyers or firms providing formal legal advice. Any preliminary advice offered is not formal legal advice and you have not engaged a lawyer by receiving preliminary advice through any of our products or services. No Reliance, Indemnification and Limitation of Liability
In using the site you agree not to rely on any information including preliminary advice provided to influence your decision to take or not take any decision or action. To the fullest extent permitted by law you agree to indemnify Legal Eagle Online Pty Limited in respect of any claim, demand or cause of action howsoever arising for which we may be liable for direct, incidental or consequential losses arising directly or indirectly from your use of the site including plaintiff and defendant legal costs on a ‘solicitor-client’ basis.
Subject to the statutory requirements of the Consumer and Competition Act 2010 including Schedule 2, the Australian Consumer Law, and to the fullest extent permitted by law you waive any right you may have to threaten, commence or continue any action against Legal Eagle Online Pty Limited. All non-statutory rights and excludable statutory rights you may otherwise have to make a claim in respect of implied conditions or warranties are expressly excluded. Your rights to make a claim against Legal Eagle Online Pty Limited are limited to these Terms and Conditions and any statutory rights incapable of being excluded. If you are defined as a ‘Consumer’ under the Australian Consumer Law, LegalEagle’s liability is limited as far as permitted and at our discretion to either the replacement or supply of equivalent goods, the repair of the goods, the supply of the services again, or a refund of any payment made for the goods or services.
Satisfaction Guarantee: Refund Policy
Our site aims to provide you with excellent products and services backed by great customer service. We also recognise that one size does not fit all. If you are not happy we make it easy for you to receive a hassle-free refund, credit or exchange within 30 days of payment if you find a product or service unsatisfactory or have a technical difficulty that cannot be resolved to your satisfaction.
If you are not satisfied with any of our products or services, simply agree not to use any part of the service, document, registration, application or other material LegalEagle™ has provided you or caused you to receive and return the documents to us in the same manner they were provided to you (e.g. electronically by email, by post or courier). To claim a refund by email, please write to us at accounts@legaleagle.com.au within 30 days of purchase of the document, registration, subscription or other charge. Requests for a refund will normally be processed within 5 business days.
This offer does not extend to refunding payments we have made to any third parties including governments, their agencies or other third parties who were involved in processing your request. Nor does it extend to any payment made by you directly to a third party including any lawyer you may have connected with through our site.
With most legal processes there is no guarantee of success and we do not and cannot provide any such guarantee. For example, we cannot guarantee that registrations requiring approval by a government agency will be successful. Where we provide time estimates for processing by third parties including government agencies those are estimates only and we are generally unable to exercise any control over the process. They do not form part of the satisfaction guarantee.
Privacy Policy including Cookies
LegalEagle’s™ full Privacy Policy, available at this link forms part of these Terms & Conditions. LegalEagle™ cares about your privacy. Any information we collect from you is stored securely and handled sensitively. We will not sell your information to a third party.When you post information to LegalEagle™ including the site, you warrant that you are authorised to do so and grant LegalEagle™ irrevocable permission to both publish that information publicly, royalty free, and provide it to lawyers and law firms except where it is specified on the site that the information you provide will not be so published or released.
If you engage with the site or our social media pages or inquire about or use our products and services you grant us permission to send you emails in relation to those goods or services. We may also send you occasional emails and our newsletter from which you can unsubscribe at any time.
The site uses cookies to track usage and for advertising purposes. You may block our cookies on your device(s) or delete them at any time.
Liability for Information you Provide or Post Online
You agree to indemnify LegalEagle™ for its expenses, legal costs and any award or order made against LegalEagle™ for any content you have posted to the site where as a result of your action in part or whole legal action is contemplated, threatened, commenced or succeeds against LegalEagle™. This is without limitation but includes where you post information online to the site that is alleged by another person or entity to be false in part or whole, defamatory or in breach of a person’s right to privacy.
Community Guidelines and Right to Withdraw Services
LegalEagle’s™ Community Guidelines, available at this link, form part of these Terms & Conditions of Use. If in LegalEagle’s™ opinion you might or have breached the Community Guidelines, or for any other reason and at LegalEagle’s™ sole discretion, we may request that you no longer engage with the site and block your access to it or block the access of any entity that we consider might be related to you. LegalEagle™ is not required to provide you or any other person or entity with notification, explanation or compensation before or after taking this course of action.
Advertising and Links to Other Sites
Advertising and links to third party websites on or through LegalEagle™ does not imply that LegalEagle™ has investigated or endorses the goods or services being offered by others, or that the information stated in the advertisements or on the third party websites is accurate. If you consider an advertisement or another site linked on LegalEagle™ to contain inaccuracies or to be inappropriate for whatever reason, please alert us by email: support@legaleagle.com.au.
Prices are in AUD$ and Include GST & Postage
All prices displayed on our site are in AUD$, include any GST component and any other charges such as postage. You will be issued with or may request a tax invoice in relation to any good or service you have purchased. LegalEagle’s™ ABN is 86 600 340 529.

Any documents we mail will be sent by regular postal services using Australia Post or a reputable courier company unless otherwise specified. If you have not received postal documents within 5 working days from the day after placing your order, or 10 working days for more remote areas of Australia, please contact us.

For matters involving predominantly non-federal law you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW laws.
Exclusion of Unenforceable Terms, Waiver, Assignment & Whole Agreement
If any part of these Terms and Conditions (from a word to a section) is found to be invalid or unenforceable that part only shall be read down or severed as found necessary and the remainder shall remain valid and enforceable.
Non-enforcement of any term or condition by LegalEagle™ does not waive its right to subsequently enforce that term or condition.
You are not entitled to assign your rights under these Terms and Conditions and you agree that any purported assignment is void. LegalEagle™ may assign its rights to an affiliate, subsidiary or successor.
These Terms & Conditions represent the whole agreement between you and Legal Eagle Online Pty Ltd except to the extent that Legal Eagle Online Pty Limited has expressly modified a specified term in its dealings with you.
