13. Court Attendance Notices

- The police can issue a Court Attendance Notice or ‘CAN’ requiring you to attend court to answer a traffic offence. You must attend court on the date and at the location specified on the CAN.
- A CAN may be given to you personally or mailed to you.
- CANs can be used for less serious driving and traffic offences.
