10. After Probate is Granted

- Once probate has been granted the grant of probate and any supporting documents become public documents and they can be viewed by any person at the court registry.
- You are now entitled to deal with the estate. This means you can gather in all of the estate assets and pay any outstanding estate liabilities.
- It is a very good idea to consult your accountant with respect to the tax considerations of the estate.
- After all the assets are in and all liabilities have been paid including the estate’s tax debt if any you can attend to distributing the estate to the beneficiaries in accordance with the will.
