  • The State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) in Western Australia has jurisdiction (authority) over various administrative, commercial and personal matters. This includes:
    • commercial and civil disputes;
    • development and resource issues;
    • human rights; and
    • vocational regulation for matters concerning professionals such as architects, medical professionals, teachers and lawyers.
  • The tribunal mostly reviews decision made by the state government and its bodies but it also makes original first-instance decisions.
