  • The Office of the Director of Military Prosecutions (DMP) provides an impartial prosecution service to the ADF and provides legal advice relating to serious offences in the Defence Force Discipline Appeals Act that cannot be tried through the usual chain of command.
    • These types of matters are referred to the DMP by commanders and the DMP provides advice to commanders regarding the outcomes of investigations raised by the allegations and the best course of action.
