- There are two processes for seeking a review of the National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT) registration test decision:
- seeking a reconsideration of the decision by the NNTT; or
- applying to the Federal Court for a review of the decision.
- A request for a registration decision of the NNTT to be reconsidered must be made in writing and within a specific timeframe. The reconsideration decision involves a member of the NNTT reconsidering the application and any accompanying information afresh which can include any new information and re-applying the registration test conditions.
- An application to the NNTT for reconsideration cannot be made if an application has already been made to the Federal Court.
