D2. How a Lawyer Can Helpetermining a property boundary or resolving a fence dispute can be complicated by the need to deal with neighbours and the complexity of the legal matters that need to be considered. A lawyer is able to assist by providing a point of contact for discussions about how best to resolve the dispute as well as providing you with advice on what the law says about the dispute.

A lawyer will be able to assist you with obtaining the necessary documents and advice to support your claims during a boundary or fence dispute. In some instances you may be required to source the assistance of the experts to support your claim. This may include having a survey (a record of the area and features of a parcel of land in the form of a map or plan of the area).

Legal issues arising out of dividing fences can be quite technical. A lawyer will be able to assist you with identifying the issues that are present in the dispute and the best way to bring about a good resolution to your fencing problems.
