- Your company may also want to appoint alternate directors. In this case you will still need to lodge Form 484 to advise ASIC of the appointment or removal of alternate directors or to change details such as names or addresses. You should also check your constitution to see that your company can appoint alternate directors.
- Alternate directors may not have the same powers as a full director. For example they may not be able to vote at a directors' meeting or may be appointed only for a short period. You will need to check your company constitution, the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and any power of attorney to see the scope of the alternate directors' authority.
