Do pools need to be fenced?
- Yes. If you own a swimming pool or spa you are responsible for ensuring that they are adequately fenced.
- The fence must be child-proof and be kept in good condition.
Inflatable and above-ground pools that can be filled to a depth of 300mm or more also require fences to prevent children accessing the pool.
