  • However our laws also recognise domestic violence as being relevant when making family law decisions.
  • The court is required to make the children’s safety the primary consideration.
  • Sometimes the family law orders and the Apprehended Domestic Violence Order will be different. In these instances the family law orders take priority where they are different but everything else stays in place.
