  • You need a valid passport for yourself and your children before you can travel overseas.
  • You must get the consent of the other parent each time before you can travel overseas with your children.
  • It is a criminal offence to travel overseas without the written permission of the other parent or a court order.
  • You can include arrangements about overseas travel in your consent orders.
  • If your case goes to court you can apply to the court to include orders about overseas travel in the parenting orders.
