    7. Responding to Complaints
  • You will be notified of any complaint made against you and will receive a copy of the complaint.
  • The Australian Human Rights Commission will ask for your perspective on the matter.
  • You may be asked to provide specific information or documents before a certain date.
  • The information or documents will usually be given to the complainant (person who lodged the complaint).
  • If you do not provide the information or documents by the specified date you may be compelled by Australian Human Rights Commission to do so.
  • The Australian Human Rights Commission can also compel you to attend conciliation where applicable.
