- A contract may end in a number of ways. This includes:
- when the purpose of the contract has been fulfilled by all parties such as where goods or services have been provided and payment has been made;
- where all the parties to the contract agree to terminate the contract;
- where the contract has been terminated by law such as where a party becomes bankrupt;
- when the contract becomes impossible to perform due to no fault on behalf of the parties; or
- where one of the parties has breached the contract and this entitles the other party to terminate it.
