- It can help cover certain instances that may arise such as lost baggage, injury or theft of items such as money.
- Usually there is an excess involved.
- This means that you will have to pay a certain amount of money towards the claim before the insurance company pays the rest.
- For example if your excess is $200 and you lose a computer worth $1000 you will have to pay the first $200 and then the travel insurance company will pay the remaining $800.
