What should a person do if they are served with a warrant for extradition?
- The first thing they should do is contact a lawyer who specialises in criminal law. A criminal lawyer will be able to advise on:
- the court procedure involved with the extradition hearing;
- the validity of the warrant; and
- the likelihood of getting bail.
- The lawyer can also appear on that person’s behalf in court which is important in relation to cross examination of police officers involved in the case.
- Our LegalPlan™ membership will allow you to ask lawyers for a Fixed Fee Quote on your matter.
