Our package of innovative services was created by lawyers in part to solve a common problem lawyers face; finding a simple and effective way of promoting your practice using your existing resources and strengths without significant time or cost commitments.
LegalEagle® has compiled a massive database that individually profiles more than 80,000 Australian lawyers, firm and chambers – a first for Australia. Our Find a Lawyer service is the “go to” place where the public can search online for a lawyer using a range of criteria including location and the practice area in which they need help. This service is free to you and the public.
Log-on now to update your individual and firm or chambers profile. Add a photo or logo, an introductory paragraph to explain why clients should choose you and specify your areas of preferred practice.
If you want to supercharge your client inquiry rates and appear higher in search ranking results while contributing to the community, trial the following services that are free for lawyers:
- Engage with LegalEagle’s Ask a Lawyer service. This is LegalEagle’s public forum where potential clients ask a question (at no cost) to which only lawyers can respond with an appropriate automatic disclaimer. As a lawyer you can filter questions to those being asked only in your region and areas of law. A concise answer can take you less than 2 minutes to post. By doing so you help a potential client, get free exposure and showcase your knowledge with links to your profiles so potential clients can contact you easily. Your answers also become searchable so good answers can attract numbers of clients into the future.
- Use our Phone a Lawyer service to choose a suitable potential business or personal client in your region seeking help in an area of law in which you practice. Potential clients provide a brief written summary of their issue. You then choose the potential clients that suit your practice and provide them with a 15 minute introductory phone consultation at a time that is convenient to you. This allows you to showcase your knowledge and break the ice with potential new clients who get a feel for you.
- Coming soon is our Fixed-Fee Quote service where you review written requests for a quote or tender from individuals or businesses and choose those to which you want to respond.
Both you and your firm or chambers are each provided (free) with your own customisable dashboard. There you can set your preferences so that you only view questions, phone consult and fixed-fee quote requests from potential clients in your region seeking legal assistance in the areas in which you practice.
Your dashboard is also where you can upload articles and legal guides to our comprehensive Legal Information Centre. Here you can once again showcase your expertise and provide a public service. More than 40 Australian lawyers have worked to provide an initial library of FAQs, Q&As and Legal Guides relating to 125 areas of law. You can supplement that library by turning your existing analysis, advice and work product into an article or guide and uploading it. When members of the public search on that topic you will come to be identified as an expert in it because both your individual profile and your firm or chambers profile are linked so potential clients know where to find you.
