I was waiting for the boarding call in the airport lounge when an airline representative informed me that due to an emergency travel arrangement for another person I could not board that plane and instead my flight was arranged for the following day. What compensation can I get?

- Where your flight is confirmed and you have attended check-in within the stipulated time you may be able to obtain compensation from the airline if you are denied boarding.
- Where the airline is able to fly you later the same day you will be entitled to a combination of meal allowance and cash compensation.
- Where the airline is able to fly you the next day you will be entitled to a combination of:
- meal allowance;
- accommodation;
- telephone calls; and
- cash compensation.
