Is duty payable on the transfer of a car in the Northern Territory?

I live in the Northern Territory and my husband and I have made a registered agreement that I can have the family car that is currently registered in his name. This agreement was approved by the court. Will I have to pay duty to have the car transferred to my name?

·         Providing that the agreement you have both entered into is registered with the Family Court or the Court has made an order in relation to the transfer of the car between you and your husband there is no duty payable on the transfer.
