What can I do about an unsuccessful objection regarding payroll tax?

I have made an objection to the commissioner of state revenue about the assessment of my payroll tax in Victoria. I received notification yesterday that my objection was unsuccessful. Can I do something about this?

  • You can request the commissioner to refer the matter to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal or appeal the decision in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
  • To request a referral to the tribunal or the court you must make a written request to the commissioner of state revenue within 60 days after the date you were given the ‘notice of determination.’
