I am currently having a dispute with a builder who I believe has not satisfied his end of our contract. While the contract is fairly straight forward, I am worried that the ADR practitioner won’t understand the intricacies of the building industry, so won’t understand why I believe the builder has fallen short of his obligations.

- Many ADR practitioners specialise in a particular area. Some may have worked in other fields before becoming practitioners and so have specialist skills in that particular area.
- LEADR is the Association of Dispute Resolvers. It provides a searchable database of accredited mediators and you can filter your search based on type of ADR, specific areas or practice, languages spoken and cultural groups: http://www.leadr.info/searchdirectory.
