I am gay and have several issues I believe are related to my sexuality. Who can help me?

I am 18 years old and recently came out to my family and friends as gay. Since then people at work and at the university have been treating me differently and making me feel bad. There are so many different legal issues that have come up. I am sure it is all related to my sexuality. Are there any services that specialise in these sorts of issues? I want to speak to someone at a place where I feel

  • There is a Community Legal Centre called the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Intersex (LGBTI) Legal Service Inc in Brisbane that provides services to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer communities.
  • These lawyers can help people with problems that arise from identifying as a LGBTI person.
  • It is a safe environment. You should feel more comfortable by dealing with a lawyer with specific skills, interest and understanding about LGBTI legal issues.
  • Alternatively you can also apply to your closest generalist CLC. They will also be able to help with certain matters in a sensitive and professional way.
