We are having a Christmas raffle at work. One of the prizes is a hamper. We would like to put a bottle of wine in the hamper along with the food. Do we need a licence to do this?

- No. A licence is not required when you include alcohol in the delivery of food or a bouquet of flowers.
- There are some things you should keep in mind though. These rules will be different in each state and territory but these are the relevant issues.
- Any alcohol included in the hamper or present must have been purchased from an alcohol retailer.
- The maximum amount of liquor in each gift must also be less than 2 litres.
- The present or hamper needs to be packaged in a way that demonstrates it is a gift.
- The gift must be delivered to someone over the age of 18 and it should not be delivered to the location where the present was purchased.
- Generally these types of gifts should only be delivered between 7am and 7pm.
