What if we cannot agree as to how much some of our assets are worth?

My ex-partner says his business is not worth anything and is almost bankrupt. I don’t believe him. How can we put a value on this asset?

  • The parties can agree on an independent valuer or the court can appoint a valuer who will prepare a valuation for the case.
  • Usually the cost is shared by the two parties.
