My ex-partner has not made full financial disclosure to the court. What can I do?

My ex-partner used to own a really expensive car but he says he no longer has it because he sold it to his brother. There is also a whole pile of tools which suddenly went missing from the garage. He says they were stolen but there is no sign of forced entry and he won’t go the police and make a report. I think he is just trying to hide all these things.

  • If you have a lawyer you should raise your concerns with them. If you can provide any evidence to back up your claim that will be really helpful. Your lawyer will know the best time to raise this in court.
  • If you do not have a lawyer then you will need to raise this with the Federal Circuit Judge. If you have any evidence to support your claim or to prove the dishonesty this will be helpful. The Federal Circuit Judge will provide you with the guidance you need.
