I do not agree with what is the police summary. What can I do?

I have been charged with criminal damage. The police summary says I was one of the instigators of the damage but really I was just going along with others. What do I do?

  • You should discuss this with your lawyer.
  • In some cases you can negotiate with the police to amend the summary so that it better reflects your version of events.
  • Your lawyer can also put your version of events directly to witnesses in cross-examination.
