I have been charged with assault. I admit punching my mate but I was acting in self-defence because he said he was going to glass me. What can I do?

- You need to discuss this with your lawyer as you may have a defence to the charge.
- Your lawyer will discuss with you what evidence will be needed to support your defence in court.
- If you do raise self-defence you will have to prove it to the court on the balance of probabilities.
