What do I do if the other driver does not have insurance?

I was driving home last weekend when a large jeep crashed into my car. My car was badly damaged. I was not at fault in the accident. I have insurance but the other driver does not. What should I do?

  • If you are insured you should contact your insurer and inform them of the accident.
  • Usually the insurer will chase the other driver for the money.
  • Depending on your insurance policy your insurance may cover the damage costs where the other driver does not pay the money.
