Can I appeal my conviction or my sentence?
- You can appeal the verdict and sentence to the District or County Court.
- If you want to appeal you should be aware that:
- there are strict timeframes for lodging an appeal; and
- on appeal you could face a harsher penalty than the one you received in the Magistrates’ or Local Court.
