A trust is a private contract among the parties involved, the operation of law only comes into play when there is no provision in the trust relating to a certain scenario. If your trust was prepared by an estate planning attorney, it almost certainly addresses the issue you described and the answer lies in the trust document itself. Most likely the trustee is vested with the authority to manage assets and sell the property, there is very little the beneciaries would be able to do to challenge...
